Mollie to compete in Dubai

Club Captain Mollie Fisher flies to the UAE this week and will represent Team England in the Middle Eastern Championships. Mollie will spend the week in Dubai starting with three days training followed by three days of competition. She is part of a 75-strong national team taking part who have been selected as a result of their inclusion in the Diploma in Sporting Excellence (DiSE). Mollie is working towards DiSE through Loughborough College. It is a two year BTEC course which she is completing alongside her A-Levels. More information about DiSE can be found here: Diploma in Sporting Excellence (DiSE) – Swimming | Swim England

Mollie has chosen to compete in 7 events in Dubai and will be the first Rotherham Metro swimmer in several years to represent her country. Luke breaks his own record at British Championships

Luke Booth made a great start to Metro’s representation at this Summer’s National Championships by breaking his own record in the 1500m freestyle at the British Championships being held at Ponds Forge.  On July 22nd, he swam a time of 16:23.47 beating his previous time by over 6 seconds.  Luke also swam the 400m freestyle the following day and will compete again at the English Nationals during August.

Good luck to Luke and all Metro swimmers.
