Esme Beevers is a new name we can add to the club record lists following an outstanding swim at the Yorkshire Championships last weekend.

Esme represented the club in the 1500m freestyle achieving a time of 18:19.39. This knocks over 30 seconds off the previous record set by Lily Cattlin in May last year.

Esme was also awarded the silver medal alongside this long course club record for the under 15 age category.

It is the Yorkshire Swimming Championships this month starting this weekend so this is a great opportunity to share some fantastic news about one of our swimmers.

Back in December, Oscar Gavelle represented the club at the Swim England National Winter Championships. He had a superb swim in the 800m freestyle achieving a time of 8:23.46. This was enough to put him in the Yorkshire record books so he now holds the junior short course record in this event.
